Welcome to the North Okanagan's favorite car show; the 'Sun Valley Cruise-In' located in Vernon, BC.

2022 Event - July 8,9,10.

The Sun Valley Cruise-In is all about cool rides, this popular classic car show weekend is open to all show vehicles including Customs, Antiques, Hot Rods, Street Rods, and Rat Rods, Old trucks, and Muscle Cars, Motorcycles, Imports, old and modern.

For over 20 years cool rides have gathered in from western Canada and the US northwest, for a fun filled weekend of automotive activities and displays.

Polson Park Car Show (Sunday)

  • All show participants for the Car Show in Polson Park on Sunday are to complete our registration form in full.

  • $20 pre-registration. ***

  • $25 weekend of show.

Car clubs are more than  welcome, and should contact us if any special needs are required.

*** Vehicles that pre-register will have the following advantages;

-on show day, a much quicker and easier method to move in to your spot and have your car placard filled out.

-you have first dibs on purchasing car show custom shirts

-you have first dibs on the limited number of free breakfast vouchers (one per vehicle)

-you are automatically entered into the "Early Bird" registration draw prize of $200

Rain or shine, and sorry... no refunds.

Event Merchandise

Event T-shirts and  "Mechanic's Style" Button Front Shirts will be offered for sale. Limited quantities, so best you order when you register. T-shirts come in either black or white, for $20, and the "Mechanic's" shirts in black are $50.

Weekend Overview

2022  Line-up

Friday, July 8th

        Movie Night, The Old Towne Theatre. Enjoy the classic cruising and old time rock and roll soundtrack of 'American Graffiti' on the big screen. Dress up like it was 1962, view the movie, and enjoy us as we cruise downtown into the evening. Tickets are $10 online or at the door. A licensed social will start at 5:30 in the lobby of the theatre.

Saturday, July 9th

         Scenic Back-country Cruise, The cruise starts at Watkin Motors and finishes up at the downtown show, mid afternoon.

         Downtown Car Show, 30th Avenue, Vernon.  Join us for the traditional FREE downtown car show on 30th Avenue. All show vehicles should arrive and set up between 3:30 and 4:30 PM. For public safety, all vehicles must remain parked from 4:30 until the end of the show at 8:00 PM. Sorry, absolutely no exceptions to this reguslation.

Sunday, July 10th

The Grand Show, Polson Park

 

         - 8-10 am parking of show vehicles, 

- Lion's Club pancake breakfast. One voucher for each vehicle; limited vouchers so register early.

- 10 am - 3 pm Event. Awards 2:30 pm

- Live Music by the 'rockabilly' band 'Dixie Fried Hep Katz'

- Pin-up Pageant on the main stage at noon.

- Swap Meet around the edge grassy oval edge. Swap Meet entrants please refer to the swap meet rules.

- Food vendors

 

Free Pancake Breakfast

The Vernon Lions Club with be providing breakfast Sunday morning in Polson Park.  Get one FREE voucher per registered vehicle at our registration area on show day. Limited quantities and first-come-first-served.

Charities

All proceeds above the costs of the event are given to local charities. This year we've chosen 3 local deserving charities;

-North Okanagan Hospice Society

-NONA Child Development Society

-BC SPCA Vernon

Rules / Requirements

  • Show participants - please clean up your area before departing. 

  • Please respect the decisions by the volunteer judges, and direction of our hard-working volunteers.

  • No vehicles are allowed to leave before the awards ceremony closes. This is in place for public safety and local regulations.

  • No stunting, burn-outs or unruly driving. The RCMP will be making its presence during the event.

  • Please respect and obey all traffic laws and regulations, and have respect for the local community.

  • Car show participants in the downtown car show must enter prior to 4:30, and remain in place until 8:00 PM.

  • Thanks for helping us make this a safe family orientated event.
