2024 Sun Valley Cruise-In Pinup Contest

Welcome to the 2024 Sun Valley Cruise-In Pin Up Contest!

We are looking for the next Sun Valley Cruise-In Sweetheart! Will you be this year's winner?

Join in on the weekend festivities!  Come out on Saturday, July 6 from 4 pm -8 pm and take in the cars and crowds along Downtown Vernon’s 30 Avenue! 

We want to see you dressed up and taking in the cars and crowds while enjoying live music, food, and more!

Then join us on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 10 am to 3 pm for a day of classic cars, hot rods, loads of vendors, music, and sweetheart pin-up girls!

Sun Valley Cruise-In Pinup contest is meant to be fun and provide an opportunity to share the culture with everyone.

For those of you who are new to Pinup, here is some information on what Pinup is and what to expect as a contestant.

Being a Pinup is an art form that showcases your vintage style and personality.

About the Contest:

• Entries will be limited, so register soon!
• All Participants are encouraged to dress in 20's, 30's, 40s or 50's era pin-up attire.
• Each contestant will wear family-friendly appropriate outfits to best fit this theme.
• This year, there will be a brief question and answer portion. 
• You will be introduced and may be asked to answer a question.

             For example:  What's your favorite 1940s or 1950s band or music artist? Who is your favorite Pinup model? What is your favorite 1940s or 1950s movie? 

            Do you have a favorite 40s or 50s song? If so, what is it?

Each contestant will be judged on: 

• Hair
• Makeup
• Wardrobe
• Personality

Bonus points for:

• Accessories - parasol, purse, hat, etc.
• Homemade touch - sewing, embellishments, handmade accessory
• As well as how Cohesive your look is.
• A fun part of many contests is bribing the judges. THIS IS NOT MANDATORY but can be fun. 

Some examples of bribes gifted to judges are Homemade crafts or treats, retro nicknacks, and swag from causes or businesses you support, anything goes and it does not need to be expensive. If you decided to participate in this tradition you would give your bribe as you are introduced and are walking up to the host. (Please note there will be three female judges)

Lastly remember, you will be walking on grass so you may want to consider that when choosing your footwear.
